The Best Granny Ever 1937-2020

On Monday, my granny died. She had Alzheimer’s and tested positive for the coronavirus. She was the best granny in the world. She always loved and spoiled her grandchildren.

October 2017, never did I think that would be my last chance to see my granny. So beyond thankful to God for giving me memories.

You are no longer suffering. Thank you for being the best granny in the world and always giving your grandchildren unconditionally love. You will never be forgotten. Rest In Peace. I love you so much, Granny. I miss you and wish I could give you one last kiss.

There are so many memories. But I will only share a couple.

Memories of my Granny!

When I was a little girl, way back when I was a very picky eater, together we would go up to the Copper Kettle and have breakfast with her friends and my aunt Blondie. I didn't like toast back then so she would ask the chef to make me some chips. He always did it for me with a smile.

Every time she and I would go to Penny's, Granny always told me never to shop in the old people section. She always made sure every outfit I picked out, looked perfect on me before she bought it. Today I think back to those days and laugh because one day I'll be old and need to shop in that department.

Her way of spoiling me and the rest of her grandchildren was by buying them things. Like clothes, accessories, etc. I remember when all my clothes used to come from Ireland. Now only my socks and very few shirts come from there. I actually have two jackets from Ireland.

Go maire sí a suaimhneas! May she rest in peace!
