Mom researched Airbnb places for the two of us to stay for the weekend. Six months later, we drove to what I call "Paradise" except for Riverhead. Riverhead isn't paradise. But anywhere North, South, East or West in the Hamptons defiantly is. Lots of big houses. Some hidden behind big tall bushes while others are opened for the public to see. Not all the houses are famous people. Some are just people who saved and continue to work hard for their money.
When we arrived in Riverhead just minutes from the Hamptons, we dropped our stuff off at the airbnb and met the host. She's a very friendly welcoming lady from Lithuania. It was in a studio two story apartment which felt spacious to us.
We drove to the Tanger Outlets only a few minutes away. Spent two to three hours shopping. I was very successful in finding summer outfits for work and outside of work. Mom and I found a food court and got something small from Nathan's. I got french fries she got a hot dog. We shared a soda.
After we shopped, Mom and I did some shopping at Walmart. Something we don't have in New York City. Stocked up on necessities and I got a beach towel.
We drove out to Holtzville which is forty-seven minutes from the Hamptons. Holtzville has this very fancy movie theatre called Island 16.
Before we went there, we went across the street to have dinner at one of my favorite restaurants. Since it was my birthday, I got a vanilla milkshake which was delicious. For dinner I had delicious grilled chicken with french fries. A happy plate.
We went back to the movies and purchased our tickets to see Toy Story 4. (If you didn't see it yet, or you're not sure if it's worth seeing, GO SEE IT! No matter how old you are just GO! You're going to LOVE it!) The movie was AWESOME! It really summarized the story really well. Disney never fails to make amazing movies....okay except for Wall-E. That was awful.
It was dark outside, mom and I decided to drive to the beach in South Hampton. It was very dark at the beach. But we decided to use our flashlights on our phones and be brave. We only stayed for two minutes cause we didn't want anybody to come out and hurt us.

A very long fun day, we stayed up twenty minutes passed eleven then called it a night.
Sunday morning, Mom and I had breakfast at Burger King then drove to the beach in South side of the Hamptons. What a beautiful clean beach.
We sat in our chairs for a little bit then we walked down to the water as our feet up and down into the sand. As we stood on the sand, mom and I felt our feet sink into the sand as the ice cold water washed onto our feet. A big wave splashed us up to our hips. That woke me up. It was FREEZING!
We took a break and sat in our chairs and reapplied the sun screen so we wouldn't get burned by the HOT sun. While my mom took a short nap in her chair, I decided to get a tad brave and go in the water up to my stomach. Lets just say I didn't last long cause the cold water stung my body. Thats how FREEZING it was.
After two hours at the beach, we decided we had enough. We washed off and decided to drive deeper into the Hamptons. I found Rachel Ray's addresss to her house. Even though its for sale, it's still very cool in my opinion. Her house is actually a nice size. Not too big and not too small. Love the amount of land she has in her front yard. Plus the big gate is my favorite. I discovered the Hamptons is the country side of Long Island. Endless amount of trees everywhere.
Mom and I got hungry so we stopped for a late lunch at Wendy's. Mom got a taco salad (who knew that was even a thing 😂😂😂😂) it filled her fast though. I got french fries and nuggets with a frosty. When I first got my frosty it was melted. I handed it back and said, "Um, excuse me. This is melted!" The lady didn't look happy but she gave me a new one.
After lunch we drove back to our Airbnb. Mom took a power nap and I took a shower to get the sand off me (not that I had much sand on me but still I like to feel clean) When mom got up we decided to go for a late dinner to sum up our amazing weekend. Went to my second favorite resturant TGIF! Just got something small. Grilled chicken and fries.
Safe to say my birthday celebration was awesome! I'm ready to see what 28 has to bring for me. One of my goals as a 28 year old is to do the following.
1) Don't eat so much and try harder at losing weight. ( My "sis" Kat and my child hood "sis" is giving me encouragement and motivation)
2) Stand up for myself. Don't let people treat me with disrespect or bully me into silence. If someone is annoying me or have a problem with me, make sure I set them straight in away Jesus would. (Something I wish I could've done years ago during my bad friendships)
3) Make friendships at work. As I grow at my job, I want to be able to come out of my shell and be a tad more chatty.
Enjoy some of the photos below! The last photo you'll see is Rachel Ray's house.
